Rhode Island native and former Miss Universe Olivia Culpo took to her Instagram stories on Thursday to blast America Airlines.

The reason? She was reportedly told by airline staff her outfit — biker shorts and a crop top — was inappropriate, and that she needed to cover up.

Culpo’s Instagram story contained a video taken by her sister Aurora who said, “Olivia and I are going to Cabo and look at her — she looks cute, she looks appropriate, no? They call her up to the desk and tell her that she needs to put a blouse on — otherwise she can’t get on the plane.”

“Tell me that is not so f—ked up. American Airlines, I love you so much — please get me to Cabo," she continues.

This isn't the first time Culpo has documented her unhappiness with an airline.

In August 2021, Culpo reportedly criticized JetBlue after the airline banned her dog from a flight home to Rhode Island.

"Multi-Layered" Commentary

Culpo then shares another video of another traveler baring skin — who allegedly wasn't told to cover up.

Apparently, all’s well that ends well, because Culpo then reportedly put on a sweatshirt per the airlines’ request — and boarded the plane.

Culpo’s boyfriend, however — NFL star Christian McCaffrey — suffered the most from the airline’s wrath, because in the next frame, he can be seen on the plane without his sweatshirt — which he gave to Culpo.

“When you freeze bc your lady dress inappropriately AF. Exactly how Jack from Titanic died," was the caption.

On its website, American Airlines provides limited guidance about what outfits are deemed appropriate for travel, saying simply in its "conditions of carriage" that passengers must "dress appropriately," adding that " bare feet or offensive clothing aren't allowed."
