Inspire Green's cool, eco-friendly filtered-water bottle

A cool, eco-friendly water bottle designed and marketed by Bryant University students is the latest hot offering from DealBird. It's the perfect stocking stuffer, and it's a real steal through DealBird.

Deal Bird's Group Buy of the Week: 50% off Eco-Friendly Water Bottle

The product: This 20 ounce bottle has a built-in carbon filter which gives you optimum flexibility to drink from any source and feel confident you're getting a good, clean sip. The BPA-free bottle is made from recycled plastic and features an anti-microbial top around an easy-open spout.

Local connection: Inspire Green was founded by a ground of entrepreneurial students at Bryant University who will graduate this spring. As first-years, their experiences in Bryant's "Business 101" course set them brainstorming ideas for a business plan project. The result: PURO, a portable and customizable individual water filtration system they could market to colleges and companies to promote their green initiatives.

In the fall of 2009, the team won a business plan competition and beat out two MBA teams in the finals to take home $27,500 in seed money to launch the business. By spring the company had a new name, Inspire Green, had incorporated, and was underway. See more about these young entrepreneurs, here.
