NEW: Sen. Whitehouse’s Son Pleads No Contest to DUI

Friday, July 27, 2012

U.S. Senator Sheldon Whitehouse’s son pleaded no contest on Friday to DUI charges in Newport District Court.

19-year-old Alexander Whitehouse was fined $250, sentenced to 30 hours of community service and list his license for three months.

Whitehouse was arrested Wednesday morning after blowing a .09 and failing a field sobriety test. He admitted to drinking beer and taking four shots of gin. Police also found marijuana in the car.

I've said it before, but, would a young person from my old street, Linwood Avenue in Providence, get anywhere near the same deal?

bill bentley

He would if he could afford a good lawyer.

Jonathan Flynn

He has to " list his license for three months." For the GoLOCOs, I guess you really don't miss journalism. You wouldn't have known it it, if it was swimming in your soup.

Jonathan Flynn

Technically, that would be the subjunctive, " if it were swimming in your soup." That is all.
