NEW: Gas Prices Jump Six Cents

Gasoline prices in Rhode Island are up six cents this week, according to AAA Southern New England.
AAA’s March 26 survey of prices in Rhode Island found self-serve, regular unleaded averaging $3.87 per gallon, six cents higher than last week. Prices locally are up 10 cents over the last month.
The current price is two cents less than the national average for regular unleaded of $3.89. A year ago at this time Rhode Island’s average price was $3.56.
