The battle over same-sex marriage in Rhode Island will begin Tuesday as the House Judiciary Committee announced today that it has scheduled a hearing on a bill introduced by Rep. Arthur Handy (D-Cranston) that would allow same-gender couples to marry and would recognize the state’s existing civil unions as marriages.
The hearing is scheduled Tuesday, Jan. 15, at the rise of the House session (around 4:30 p.m.) in Room 313 on the third floor of the State House.

Marriage should not be redefined. This is not a case of justice nor equality... it is a question of whether traditional marriage is the building block for society and children.
Children are entitled to a mother and father whenever possible.

Sad thought Tricia :(. Times are changing and you just need two supportive parent who cares if it's two men or two caring women. Remember people said the samething when interracial marriage was purposed and guess what the world has not ended yet
