AAA states “Gas Prices Up Two Cents”

Monday, January 10, 2011

For the third consecutive week gasoline prices are up in Rhode Island, according to AAA Southern New England.

The current average for regular unleaded fuel in RI is $3.17 per gallon, which is 3% higher than the national average. One year ago, the RI average was much lower at $2.75 per gallon due to the struggling economy.

AAA recommends that motorists shop around for the best prices in their area.

You can find the most up-to-date local gas prices with the AAA Fuel Finder by logging onto AAA’s website and clicking on Gas Saving Tips & Tools.
