Coming this Thursday is the list of the 50 Wealthiest and Most Influential Rhode Islanders.
In 2013, GoLocalProv has teamed up WealthEngine — the leading provider of sophisticated wealth identification and prospect research solutions -- to put together the first-ever list of the wealthiest and most powerful in the state. Now we have updated the list and expanded the data sources to include Securities and Exchange documents, Salary.com, IRS 990 forms, Million Dollar Donor database, Corporate Pay-Watch and a range of other data sources.
Over the two years some have climbed the list and others have fallen off. There are more than a dozen that are new to the list.

Due note, this list is the combination of wealth and influence - garnering political power alone will rank someone on the list. Correspondingly, there are Rhode Islanders with tremendous fortunes, but are active in the Rhode Island community and thus they did not make the list either.
