Rhode Island's unemployment rate may have dropped slightly in January, but at 9.2 percent, the job economy in the Ocean State is recovering at a far slower rate than the rest of the nation.
Additionally, the Department of Labor reported nearly 6,500 fewer state residents were employed in January than one year prior.
