RISD Grad Burko on Balancing Work, Motherhood in Latest Exhibition, "Quiet/Loud"

RISD graduate Jessica Burko, who is a mixed-media artist who combines traditional photography with encaustic medium, spoke with GoLocalProv News Editor Kate Nagle about her show, "Quite/Loud," running at ArtProv through January 20, on GoLocal LIVE.

Burko, who has been an exhibiting artist since 1985 and has displayed work in solo and group shows throughout the United States, holds a BFA in Fine Art Photography from Rhode Island School of Design (RISD).

In the interview, Burko spoke to the reaction she has received to the works on display at ArtProv, her "four careers" she is currently involved with, and balancing work life, with being a mother.
