The work of Evan Olin, one of this year's charity tattoo artists

You can get permanently spooky this Halloween and help out the RI Food Bank in one of the season's most creatively themed fundraisers.

PowerLine Tattoo in Cranston has announced the first annual Spooktacular Tattoo-A-Thon to benefit the Rhode Island Community Food Bank, planned for October 29. The shop's artists--Evan Olin, Jay Blackburn, Mike Ladoux and Shane Baker-- will be on-hand to ink more than 20 pieces of custom original Halloween and autumn designs wherever you want on your body.

Custom art, for one special day

What makes it more special is that those designs will only be available on the 29th. So if you see a fellow traveler sporting your shrunken head, pumpkin, or black cat, you'll know he or she was part of the party.

The artists are donating their time, equipment, and materials, and the doors open at 11am. Of course there will be spooky snacks and Halloween movies to watch while you wait. The cost of each piece will be $60 ($50 with the donation of two canned goods), and all proceeds will benefit the Food Bank.
