…It was no surprise when The Whiskey Republic opened last week with a VIP event that co-owner Ken Casey from the Dropkick Murphys took to the stage to get the party started. What revelers didn’t expect was to see boxer Mickey Ward (at right), who’s story was featured in the Oscar winning film, The Fighter. The Dropkick Murphys invited Ward on stage to sing along to “The Warriors Code,” a fan favorite that was written about Ward and featured on The Fighter soundtrack…

…Despite Mother Nature’s cruel irony of dishing out snow on the first full day of spring Monday, it didn’t stop the Food Channel from getting cozy in Chez Pascal’s Mobile Food Truck to film an episode of Meat & Potatoes. The crew is also reportedly making their way to Farmstead, the now famous shop of cheesemonger and newly nominated James Beard Foundation Award nominee in the Best Chef Northeast category, Chef Matt Jennings
