America's favorite party game is going high-tech.

Twister, Hasbro's game that has been getting kids, teenagers, and grown adults gyrating and wrapping around each other on a slippery vinyl sheet since the 1960s, is going to morph into a high-tech video game this fall.

Majesco Entertainment Co, which brought America the outrageously popular "Zumba Fitness" titles, is preparing the digital version of the retro game in time for a pre-holiday release in November.

Zumba Fitness has sold about 3 million copies worldwide, which could indicate a sweet new burst for Hasbro, which has licensed the game to Majesco.

Added craziness

In this new, virtual version of the game, 16 styles of play will include the "party play" mode that bears the most resemblance to how we all played in the 1960s. But lots of new options will come with the digital version, including dodging shapes that pop up on the screen.

Get limber, Rhode Island. Time to play.
