When you think of East Greenwich, you may think first of top-flight high schools. But the curators at the Warwick Museum of Art want you also to think of artists.

"East Greenwich Art Club" will be WMOA's featured September exhibit, and members will display their work nearly all month, from September 2-26. The exhibit, say organizers, will feature the work of more than 30 members of the lively local art society, which celebrated its 50th anniversary in 2009.  The Opening Reception will be held on Friday, September 9 from 7-9pm.  All are invited to attend, and admission is free. Donations to the Warwick Museum of Art are gratefully accepted. Light refreshments will be served.

The museum’s regular hours are Tuesday, Wednesday and Friday from 12-4pm, Thursdays from 4-8pm and Saturdays from 10am-2pm. The Warwick Museum of Art is located at 3259 Post Road, Warwick in Historic Apponaug Village. For more information, call 737-0010 or go to www.warwickmuseum.org.
