The atmosphere was laid back, yet energetic and filled with positive vibes. Friday and Saturday fueled the feel-good festivities by providing some beautiful weather. Although Sunday began with some heavy rains, it did not deter the festival's hardcore music loving crowd. By mid afternoon the sun had finally arrived, bringing with it some apropos rainbows to cap off a wonderful weekend of good times and great music.
Three stages supplied a full bevy of non-stop authentic roots music. In addition to the strong zydeco music presence, there were also some fantastic acts leaning towards blues, country, folk, and even swing.
Highlights of the chock-filled weekend included The Mavericks, Roseanne Cash, Big Bad Voodoo Daddy, Squirrel Nut Zippers, Marcia Ball, The New Orleans Suspects, Little Feat's Paul Barrere and Fred Tackett, Los Texmaniacs, Steve Riley & the Mamou Playboys, and Rhode Island's own Sarah Potenza. GoLocalProv was there to bring it all to you.
