"Dine at the cafe counter, in the lavish tea room, or outside amid an English garden—the choice is yours," says Major of this darling "snuggery," as the owners call the tea room-restaurant-bar housed in a pink Colonial. Renowned for its daily brunch, the menu emphasizes local foods in offerings ranging from sweet to savory. Advises Major: "Don’t miss the truffled pomme frites served in a clay pot, be sure to indulge in dessert," like a mocha cupcake or strawberry and vanilla mascarpone blintzes."
Major has created a second charming collection of the easy-to-make projects that she calls “tinkered treasures”. Many of the projects use recycled materials.
With her craft tutorials and popular blog Tinkered Treasures, she hopes to inspire others to enjoy making things without worries of perfection. An accomplished writer, in addition to this her second book, Elyse regularly contributes features and articles to magazines such as Romantic Homes and Romantic Country.
