Message: From GoLocalProv by Herb Stevens, GoLocalProv's Skiing Weatherman: I am going to start this post by getting right to the heart of the matter concerning the weather and snow conditions…we are now entering a period that could end up being the snowiest week of the season across the Northeast, and you should be making your plans to head for the hills. This week is getting underway with a narrow stripe of moderate to heavy snow across the northern Mid-Atlantic States, metro New York and southern New England. Anywhere from 4 to as much as 8 inches of snow will fall today (Monday), with Long Island and central New Jersey the sweet spot for the highest amounts. Now, that sort of distribution of snow only benefits a handful of ski areas, but I think this storm is only the appetizer…the main course and desert are on the way over the next 7 days. By this time next week, resorts from northern New Jersey to Maine will have anywhere from 18 to as much as 30 inches of new snow for you to play on. http://www.golocalprov.comhttp://beta.golocalprov.com/the-skiing-weatherman-conditions-report-february-6-9
