Rhode Island has always loved its radio, and GoLocal's own John Rooke's new book, Rhode Island Radio, is a colorful look back at 90 years of local broadcast history. The book, which will go on sale November 18 from Arcadia Publishing, is full of photographs and anecdotes from the earliest days through today. The book includes looks at beloved Rhode Island radio personalities including Salty Brine, Sherm Strickhouser, Jack Comley, Ed Pearson, Ernie Anderson and Don Pardo. Anyone who has ever caught their local radio station at home, at work, in the car, or on a sunny day at Scarborough beach, will love Rooke's colorful trip down radio's memory lane.

Rhode Island Radio is available at local restailers, online bookstores, or through Arcadia Publishing at www.arcadiapublishing.com or at (888) 313-2665.
