Fleming is the 20th head coach in the program's history and has 27 years of college coaching experience. He most recently was the Defensive Coordinator at Central Florida over the past two seasons, helping UCF earn a bid to play in this year's Fiesta Bowl. Fleming also has coaching experience in Rhode Island, having been the Defensive Coordinator at Brown in 1993.
Fleming replaces Joe Trainer, who was relieved of his duties November 18th after the Rams finished the 2013 season 3-9.
In 2 seasons as a head coach (at Sacred Heart in 2000 and 2001) Fleming is 21-1, including leading the Pioneers to a Northeast Conference Championship in 2001.
The new coach will be introduced at 10 a.m. Monday in the Alumni Lounge at the Ryan Center. Bjorn said via twitter that the press conference will be open to everyone.
