URI Snaps 2 Game Skid, Beats La Salle 73-62

The URI Rams (11-7, 3-2 A10) defeated the (5-10, 1-4 A10) La Salle Explorers 73-62 on Saturday afternoon at the Ryan Center. The Rams snap their two game losing streak.
Fast Start
The Rams jumped all over the Explorers early in the game taking a 22-9 lead with 7:37 left to play in the half after a Jared Terrell jump shot.

In the second half, the Explorers would get within five, 31-26, with 19 minutes to play but that would be as close as they would get. URI never led by less than eight points the remainder of the game.
The Leaders
URI was led by Jarvis Garrett who poured in 19 points on 6 of 10 shooting from the field.
Kuran Iverson recorded a double double with 12 points and 12 rebounds while Hassan Martin added 15 points.
Next Up
The Rams return to action on Friday, January 22 when they visit George Washington. Game time is set for 7 p.m. The game will be broadcast on ESPN 2.
