Tuesday, March 20, 2012
As GoLocalProv first reported, Wagner basketball coach Danny Hurley will be named the new head coach at the University of Rhode Island.
The website SILive.com reported today that Hurley informed his players of his decision this morning.
Over the weekend, URI athletic director Thorr Bjorn told the Providence Journal that there was “an erroneous and inaccurate report out there” and that “no decisions have been made regarding our men’s basketball search” over the weekend.
