Sullivan, McGonagill Share Brown MVP Honors
Tuesday, May 07, 2013
The excitement is back.
After a few lean years, the Brown men's basketball program appears to be heading in the right direction once again. Mike Martin's first season at his alma mater resulted in a (13-15) season including a (7-7) mark in Ivy League play. And while those numbers may not jump off the page at you, when you consider what was expected from this team (picked 7th in the preseason poll), they certainly accomplished a lot.
Highlights from this past season include a stunning come-from-behind win over Providence College in late December, an overtime win over Niagara and a road sweep of Cornell and Columbia which included a buzzer-beating three in the Big Apple.
