Sky Chiefs Bounce Back, Roll Staten Island 125-97

The Providence Sky Chiefs (10-4) defeated the (2-5) Staten Island Vipers 125-97 on Saturday afternoon at Bishop Hendricken High School. The win snaps a two game losing streak for the Sky Chiefs. 

"It was a very good bounce back win, we had three hard days of practice to get past the adversity from last week and today we were good" Sky Chiefs head coach Kyle Ivey-Jones said after the game. 

After a tightly played first half, the Sky Chiefs took a 12 point lead, 63-5,1 into the locker room.  In the third quarter, the Sky Chiefs kept their foot on the gas, pouring in 41 points in the frame to take a 104-77 lead into the fourth.

Providence cruised to their 125-97 win over the Staten Island Vipers. 

Providence was led by Shane DaRosa who netted a game high 26 points and was one of five Sky Chief players to reach double-figures. 

DaRosa was followed up by Corey Wright who poured in 15 points to help get the Sky Chiefs back on the winning track. 

The Sky Chiefs return to action on Sunday, January 18 to host the Jersey Express at Brown University's Pizzitola Center. Tip-off is set for 2 p.m.
