Several teams have shifted up and down the Top 10 and we have 1 new face this week in Rogers High School.  It's a war of attrition in Division 1, but thus far Hendricken and Barrington have escaped unscathed.  Mt. Pleasant continues to dominate Division 3, and Division 2-A and Division 2-B have a host of teams in the mix this year.  Here's a look at the updated Power Pack.

North Kingstown

Division Record: 3-1 (Division 2-B)

Overall Record: 6-1

The Skippers rolled over Division 4's top team (East Greenwich) last week by a score of 39-14.  Averaging 38 points per game for the season (7 games), North Kingstown is among the contenders in Division 2-B and have the firepower to beat anybody in their path.

Johnston

Division Record: 3-1 (Division 2-A)

Overall Record: 5-1

The Panthers had a bye last week and now gear up for Chariho this coming Saturday.  I'm leaving them at #9 in my rankings after not having a game, with South Kingstown dropping out from in front of them and Rogers moving up to take their place.  Woonsocket is the only team to have beaten Johnston this season.

Woonsocket

Division Record: 4-0 (Division 2-A)

Overall Record: 5-2

Woonsocket dropped a tough non-league game to Rogers 21-14 and fall a couple of spots in my Power Pack as a result.  The good news for the Novans is they're still the only unbeaten team in Division 2-A and they shouldn't have too much trouble this week against Toll Gate (0-4 Divison 2-A, 0-6 overall).

Rogers

Division Record: 3-1 (Division 2-B)

Overall Record: 4-3

Rogers beat Woonsocket last week in a non-league game and continue to impress in and out of Division 2-B.  They beat North Kingstown 34-8 earlier in the year and losing non-league games to Portsmouth and Barrrington is nothing to be ashamed of.  This team is the real deal.

Cranston East

Division Record: 2-2 (Division 1)

Overall Record: 5-2

The Thunderbolts were handed just their second loss of the year last week at the hands of Hendricken and drop out of the Top 5 for this week.  With losses to the state's premier teams (Barrington and Hendricken) Cranston East hasn't been a disappointment by any stretch, but it won't get any easier this week as they're set to take on a very good Portsmouth team in Division 1 play.

Mt. Pleasant

Division Record: 5-0 (Division 3)

Overall Record: 5-1

The Kilties are coming off a blowout win over Tiverton and continue to show they're the class of Division 3 football.  With the losses in front of them they're now my top ranked team outside of Division 1, and they have a good chance to run the table in league play this season.  Their biggest challenge should come November 15th against Middletown.

La Salle

Division Record: 3-1 (Division 1)

Overall Record: 5-2

The Rams lost a out of state non-league contest to Andover (Mass) last week by a score of 49-33.  The loss does nothing to hinder their standing in Rhode Island and they actually move up in my rankings as a result of Cranston East's loss.

Portsmouth

Division Record: 3-1 (Division 1)

Overall record: 5-1

Portsmouth rolled over Chariho 41-8 last week in non-league play and continue to score the football at an impressive pace (averaging 30 points per game in 6 total games).  The Patriots are set to take on Hendricken this Friday in a must-see Division 1 battle.

Barrington

Division Record: 4-0 (Division 1)

Overall Record: 6-0

The Eagles stomped Tolman 41-7 last Friday and remain unbeaten in Division 1 play.  November 15th is a day to circle on the calendar as Barrington is set to travel to Hendricken for a matchup of the top 2 teams in the state.

Hendricken

Division Record: 5-0 (Division 1)

Overall Record: 7-0

The Hawks romped Cranston East 35-7 last Friday and asseted their dominance against another top Division 1 team.  The Hendricken defense (38 points allowed in 5 league games) shut down the Thunderbolts' powerful offense and star Running Back Remington Blue continues to be unstoppable.
