Patriots Training Camp dates set

Now that summer has arrived, the countdown to kickoff for the upcoming NFL season has officially begun.

The New England Patriots will report to training camp one month from today (July 23rd) and will kick off the 2014 preseason at Washington against the Redskins on Thursday, Aug. 7, just 45 days away. This year marks the 55th annual training camp for the Patriots, including their 12th consecutive camp at Gillette Stadium.

Veterans will report to camp on Wednesday, July 23rd. The following day, the Patriots are scheduled for their first training camp practice on Thursday, July 24th at 9:15 am on the fields located behind Gillette Stadium. The daily practice sessions are free and open to the public. The Patriots will practice once daily and have confirmed that they will be conducting practices beginning at 9:15 am on Thursday, July 24th through Sunday, July 27th. As dates and times for training camp are confirmed, they will be updated on the Patriots website, www.patriots.com/trainingcamp.

The Patriots also confirmed that they will be hosting joint practice sessions with the Philadelphia Eagles on Tuesday, Aug. 12th and Wednesday, Aug. 13th prior to their preseason home opener on Friday, Aug. 15th against the Eagles. The joint practices are scheduled to begin at 2:00 pm each day.

The practice schedule throughout training camp is tentative and subject to change.
