As GoLocalProv reported on Friday, helmet manufacturer Xenith dropped Brown just a few weeks after signing him.
Brown is facing allegations of sexual assault and rape by his former trainer Britney Taylor, as GoLocalProv reported.
Taylor reportedly met with the NFL for more than ten hours on Monday.
Brown Expected to Play Sunday
While the NFL continues to investigate the allegations, Brown is expected to play for the Patriots on Sunday against the New York Jets at Gillette Stadium, according to NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport.
It will be Brown’s first home game as a Patriot.
Last week, Brown hauled in four passes for 56 yards and a touchdown in the Patriots 43-0 win over the Dolphins.
"I was just trying to throw to the open guy and he was there and got him on the over “route. They blitzed up the middle, and then I got him on the out-cut when they played post-safety. That's what I'm going to try to do all year, just throw it to the guy that's open," said Patriots quarterback Tom Brady after the game.
Brown has been back at practice with New England this week and could see his role in the offense expand.
When asked on Wednesday about Brown’s role expanding, Patriots head coach Bill Belichick said “There are things we can utilize him for, or Josh [Gordon], or anybody else. It's just a question of volume and, again, time and reps. You can't put in 20 new plays when you have, call it, 90 plays in practice over the course of a week. You can't put in 20 plays and expect to be able to rep those and get them right and then do all of the other things you have to do.”
