It's all even, and the series now heads to Pawtucket for the real McCoy.

Led by a pitching staff performance that held the Pawsox to only four hits, the Durham Bulls evened the International League Governors Cup series with Pawtucket Wednesday night at one game apiece by claiming a 2-1 win in Durham, NC...the same score as Tuesday's opener, with the Pawsox winning Game One.

6-4 RHP J.D. Martin started for the Bulls and held the Pawsox bats to one run and four hits over six innings, striking out three along the way.  But it was the bullpen work from lefty C.J. Riefenhauser and right hander Kirby Yates that shut Pawtucket down and out over the last three innings, with Riefenhauser earning the win.  Single runs in the 6th and 7th innings overcame a 1-0 Pawsox lead, with an RBI double by Kevin Kiermaier the decisive blow.

Pawtucket, the defending Governors Cup champion, scored its lone run in the 3rd inning on a ground ball out from Jonathan Diaz, scoring Dan Butler from third base.

Steven Wright was the hard-luck loser for the Pawsox, giving up two runs and five hits over 6.2 innings.

With the IL championship series square at one win each, the best-of-five series will take Thursday off for travel before resuming in Pawtucket Friday night at McCoy Stadium for Game 3.  Game 4 will follow Saturday, and a potential deciding Game 5, if necessary, will be played Sunday - also at McCoy Stadium.
