It wasn't easy by any stretch, but in the end Bryant found a way to sink Navy 90-80 in overtime Saturday at the Chace Athletic Center in Smithfield, RI.

Navy's Zach Fong drained his sixth three-pointer of the day with just 4.6 seconds left in regulation to force overtime, then Fong opened the extra period with yet another trey for Navy (5-4) and a 76-75 lead after two made free throws from Bryant's Joe O'Shea.  O'Shea would drop in a three of his own to put the Bulldogs up, 78-76, with 3:32 to play in overtime.

Free throws from Corey Maynard and a layup from Dyami Starks added more to the total for the Bulldogs, and a Maynard steal leading to an Alex Francis dunk as the clock ticked under two to play put Bryant out in front, 84-76.

The win snapped a three-game losing streak for Bryant (7-5), as they were led by Starks' 23 points and 22 more from Maynard, which tied a career high.  Francis chipped in 19 points and eight rebounds, while freshman Dan Garvin scored 12 points to go along with a career-high 14 boards in his first start as a Bulldog.  O'Shea added 12 points.

Fong led Navy with 21 points (including 7-of-10 from deep) off the bench, with Worth Smith and Tilman Dunbar each finishing with 14.

Bryant shot 51 percent from the field and 35 percent from long rang (7-of-20), compared to Navy's 42 percent and 43 precent (13-of-30), respectively. The Bulldogs also dominated the glass, outrebounding the Midshipmen, 44-33.

After playing five games over an 11-day stretch, Bryant will take a week off before facing Delaware next Saturday in the conclusion of the BlackRock Gotham Classic at Madison Square Garden in New York.  The game with the Blue Hens will come as the nightcap of a doubleheader at the Garden, with Notre Dame and Ohio State in the opener.  Tip off is scheduled fo 9:30 pm.
