Brown's History at Duke

This is not the first time Brown has played at Cameron — Brown came close to upsetting Duke at Cameron during the Happy Dobbs era in 1994-95.

Krzyzewski coached only the first 12 games of season before leaving the team for back surgery and to recover from exhaustion. Pete Gaudet took over as interim head coach and compiled a record of 4–15 with a mark of 2–13 in conference play. Duke finished the season with a record of 13–18 overall and in ninth place in the ACC at 2–14. Duke and the NCAA credit the first 12 games of the season to Krzyzewski and the final 19 games to Gaudet.

Brown finished this year with a record number of wins — 20-12, but only went 7-7 in the Ivy League and failed to make the four-team tournament.

Duke is expected to lose almost its entire rotation to the NBA draft.
