Brown Lacrosse Names Mike Daly New Head Coach

Brown University has named Mike Daly the head men's lacrosse coach and the 6th coach since 1963.
"I want to thank Brown President Christina Paxson and Athletic Director Jack Hayes for the opportunity to coach and mentor at one of the leading institutions in the country. Brown features one of the nation's premier lacrosse programs with a long tradition of success, and I'm honored to be taking over the program," said Daly.
Daly comes to Brown after 18 seasons at Tufts University where he took the program to three NCAA National Championships.

At Tufts, Daly posted a career record of 224-83 with 9 NCAA Tournament appearance and 7 NESCAC titles. Tufts won national titles in 2010, 2014 and 2015.
Under Daly's leadership, Tufts led the country in scoring last spring with 402 goals in 23 games for a 17.5 goal per game average. They won their 7th straight NESCAC title and finished the year with a 20-3 record, losing in the national championship game.
Daly is one of the top 10 active coaches for winning percentage and is in the top 20 for victories. He is in the top 10 for winning percentage and top 30 for wins among all-time DIII coaches.
Daly is a 1995 Tufts graduate while also earning his Masters in Education from Tufts in 1997.
Brown Lacrosse
In 2016, the bears went 16-3 in the regular season winning the regular season title for the 2nd straight championship before advancing to the NCAA Final Four where they fell to Maryland in overtime.
In 2017, Brown will return three All-Americans including Dylan Molloy, who was named the Tewaaraton Award winner at the conclusion of the season.
