Brown Football Hosts Dartmouth in Season Finale

The Brown Bears football team concludes its 2019 season at home against Dartmouth on Saturday afternoon.

The Bears are 2-7 on the season, while Dartmouth is 8-1 overall with a chance to capture a share of the Ivy League title.

Game time is set for 12 p.m.

Brown vs Dartmouth

Brown and Dartmouth have met 96 times, dating back to 1894, with the Big Green holding a 60-32-4 series advantage.

Dartmouth has won the last two games with Brown, including a 49-7 win last year in Hanover, New Hampshire.  

In 2016, Brown built a 24-7 halftime lead and held on for a 24-21 win over the Big Green in Hanover. 

Brown Offense

Brown enters Saturday’s contest averaging 30.7 points per game o the season.

The Bears offense is led by quarterback EJ Perry, who accounted for four touchdowns and set a single-season record for total offense last week in the Bears win over Columbia.

Perry finished the day with 334 yards of total offense (300 passing, 34 rushing).

His 3,264 yards of total offense this season eclipsed the previous record of 3,196 yards by current Brown coach James Perry in 1999, and ranks sixth in the Ivy League record book.

Jakob Prall leads all receivers with 37 catches for 508 yards and four touchdowns on the year, while Scott Boylan follows up with 30 catches for 385 yards and five touchdowns.

Brown Defense

The Brown defense enters the contest giving up an average of 41.4 points per game on the year.

The defense is led by Brendan Pyne, who has 48 tackles on the year.

Callum Flanders leads the Bears with three sacks, while Elijah Perry follows up with 2.5.
