Dyami Starks

Senior Dyami Starks continues to lead the way for the Bulldogs early on in the season.

In this game he had 19 points, one point higher then what he had against UConn in the Bulldogs last game.

He also added six rebounds and a steal to his stat line in this one.

Starks playing well for the Bulldogs early on in the year is a good thing for head coach Tim O'Shea

Second chance points

Bryant got beat in the second chance points department 16-9 by the Wildcats in the game.

The Bulldogs did win the rebounding battle by one but will need to do a better job of getting to the 50/50 balls to help cut down on the amount of second chance points they are giving up.

2nd half let down

The Bulldogs were up 50-26 at the end of the first half before letting the Wildcats right back into the game in the second.

Bryant had a bit of a let up and it almost cost them. They are not the first team to do so and certainly will not be the last team however it is something they will work on as the season goes on. Keeping their foot on the gas.

In Bryant's defense, this is only their second game of the season so they are likely still figuring everything out and that could be part of the reason for a let up.

Home Cooking

The Bryant Bulldogs were red hot from the floor right off the tip. They got out to a 12-0 lead and eventually built it to a 20-5 lead.

Bryant shot nearly 50% from the field in the game and just under 40 percent from beyond the 3-point arc.

Early season home cooking is a good sign for the Bulldogs.

Bryant Won!

The Bryant Bulldogs got their first win of the season and they did it by withstanding a big run from the Wild Cats in the second half.

UNH outscored the Bulldogs 37-22 in the second half, getting it to a one possession game, opening the second half on a 35-10 run. The Wildcats ended the game on a 12-2 run but it was not enough.

The fact the Bulldogs won is great but the fact they were able to withstand a big run and win is a good sign going forward this season.

Last season, Bryant on a couple of occasions built up big leads  and were not able to hold on. Most notably against St. Francis where they had a 15 point lead and lost last season.

Closing out games is tough, this should give the Bulldogs some early confidence the next time a team makes a big run at them.
