The Rhode Island Republican Party has a new Executive Director -- Jesus Solorio.

Solorio is a native of the Chicago, IL, area and brings over ten years of political, government, banking, and financial experience.

“We are thrilled to have Jesus come aboard. He came very highly recommended by the Republican National Committee for his community outreach skills. We are very excited to see how he can help us end eight decades of democratic rule in Rhode Island," said Rhode Island Republican Party Chairwoman Sue Cienki.

According to the RI GOP, most recently, Solorio was working with the Illinois Republican Party and, prior to that appointment, was an independent political consultant working with candidates on the local, state, and national levels. He served as Senior Outreach Director for the Illinois Republican Party and has worked with Senator Mark Kirk and Governor Bruce Rauner.

He also ran for Congress in 2020 in Illinois in U.S. House District 4, where he was defeated by Democrat Jesus Garcia.

“I am thrilled and excited to join the Rhode Island Republican Party as Executive Director. I look forward to doing my part to increase Republican influence in the Ocean State," he said.
