NEW: Republican Senate Candidate Concludes State Bike Tour Saturday
Tuesday, November 01, 2011
Republican Senate candidate Barry Hinckley will conclude this Ride4Jobs Bike Tour at the State House this Saturday.
Hinckley has been touring the state on his bicycle preaching a message of fiscal conservatism and calling for changes to the tax system. The first-time candidate has criticized incumbent Democrat Sheldon Whitehouse for not doing enough to help Rhode Islanders during his first term in Washington D.C.
In an e-mail sent to supporters, Hinckley called to attention the state’s stubbornly high unemployment rate and said his goal is to send a message to “career politicians” in Rhode Island.
