The commercial of Pauly D. (from Johnston) of MTV’s ‘Jersey Shore’ for Baskin Robbins ice cream is a winner.

·  Big rumor in North Providence that John Celona may run in the special election for Town council. Time to dust off the rug.

·  Congrats to Peter Manfredo who is a class act.

·  Shame on President Obama and the President of Mexico. I cannot imagine a foreign leader critical of a state (like Arizona) if Ronald Reagan was President. The President of Mexico should worry about Mexico.

·  Only in Rhode Island would 900 people go for the jobs at Central Falls high school, yet they decide to keep the same teachers and give them a $4,000 dollar raise.

·  The Red sox broke out of a losing streak by going for lap dances in New York City during the Yankee series. By that standard, we should have the best sports teams around.

·  Is there anyone on the planet who believes Lance Armstrong was clean when he was winning?

·  $10,000 for a speech up on Smith Hill? Gist should have just given them the money and they would make her Queen of Rhode Island for life.

·  Smartest thing said in Rhode Island this week was PC President Father Shanley who said, “We are about to learn a lot about Keno Davis.”

·  Dumbest thing said this week in Rhode Island were students from Hope high who feel “they should have a say in their education.” Start going to class and we can discuss it.

·  This month in Rhode Island history it was May 1985 that Ralph Pari of Rhode Island Housing was charged with racketeering, extortion and embezzlement. Good thing we don’t have people like that around anymore.

·  Who do you think will be the first indicted town councilman from North Providence who will ask the judge for permission to go away on summer vacation?

·  Stop and Shop is now being referred to as “pause and bribe.”

· The fact Speaker Gordon Fox will not even hold a hearing on illegals is a crime. Smith hill holds hearings on state name changes, tax on soda, license plates,etc... It is totally gutless to not even hold a hearing on illegal immigration. What ever happened to people getting their "turn at bat"?

·  Having Said that, there is no place like Rhode Island.

·  John DePetro can be heard on WPRO radio each weekday morning from 6 a.m. until 10 a.m.
