EXCLUSIVE: Hinckley Hires Travis Rowley for Senate Campaign
Thursday, April 21, 2011
Conservative activist and Young Republicans Chairman Travis Rowley has been hired as a consultant on the campaign for Republican Senate candidate Barry Hinckley, GoLocalProv has learned.
Hinckley told GoLocalProv last night that he tapped Rowley as part of an effort to reach out to the next generation of Americans who are in their 20s and 30s.
“They’re the ones getting handed the bill for the overspending and they weren’t really given a seat at the table when all the decisions were made—and Travis represents that generation,” Hinckley said. “I want to make sure those people are on my team and know that they have a voice on my campaign.”

“Barry convinced me that he is the best guy for the job and I am fully behind him no matter who gets in the race,” said Rowley. “Barry is my type of candidate. He’s a liberty-oriented Republican, who represents the future of the Republican Party.”
Rowley will retain his position as chairman of the Young Republicans. Rowley also is a GoLocalProv MINDSETTER™.
Hinckley declined to disclose Rowley’s compensation for the campaign work.
If Hinckley wins the Republican primary he will face Democratic incumbent Sheldon Whitehouse in the 2012 election.
