Wednesday, December 08, 2010
Governor-elect Lincoln Chafee yesterday released his updated transition Web site, www.governorelectchafee.org. The site features an Open Government Ideas Forum where Rhode Islanders may submit suggestions for and apply to serve in the state government.
“I want everyone involved, and I hope to foster a spirit of service and participatory citizenship," Chafee said.
The site uses Twitter, Facebook, and UserVoice to promote user engagement. Visitors can submit and vote on ideas, subscribe to press briefings, and follow the Governor-elect on Twitter. It also shares content from RI.gov, Rhode Island's official Web site.
