Chafee: Caprio Never Met a Tax He Didn’t Like

Lincoln Chafee told GoLocalProv that his Democratic opponent for governor, Frank Caprio had voted for numerous tax increases during his time as a state legislator.
Caprio spokesman Nick Hemond said that Caprio had voted to reduce and phase out the capital gains tax and been an advocate of eliminating the estate tax. He said there's only one candidate in the race who wants to raise taxes and make Rhode Islanders pay more - Chafee.
