2015 Mayoral Inauguration and Program of Events Announced

Jorge Elorza will be inaugurated as the 38th mayor of Providence on January 5, 2015 on the steps of City Hall, with a One Providence Inaugural Celebration to follow at the Cranston Street Armory.
The Mayor-elect and Friends of Jorge Elorza have announced a series of events that will take place in the days leading up to the inauguration starting January 3:
Saturday, Jan. 3, 10:00am – 2:00pm

Children’s Inaugural Celebration, Providence Children’s Museum, 100 South Street, Providence
Monday, Jan. 5 – Inauguration Day
1:30pm – Seating opens for inauguration Ceremony, Steps of Providence City Hall
2:00pm – Official inauguration ceremony
3:30pm – Reception with Mayor Elorza Providence City Hall, 2nd floor
7:00pm – One Providence Inaugural Celebration, Cranston Street Armory, 310 Cranston Street
All events will be open to the public and will showcase Providence as the Mayor-elect and his team invite the community to give back and volunteer.
The One Providence Inaugural Celebration will showcase highlights of Providence’s world-class artistic, cultural and culinary scene and will be the first inaugural celebration to be held at the Cranston Street Armory in decades.
