The License Plate of Patriarca’s car. In the late 1950's and early 1960's, his automobile was a 1957 Cadillac.  

The car was bought in his wife Helen's name from Trinity Auto Sales.

The FBI number for Patriarca was included in each memorandum tracking his activities.

In this 1957 ,emorandum from the Boston FBI office described Patriarca as having a "1" scar, right side of neck near jawline."

Hoodlum

Mob Terms

FBI memos of the 1950’s and the early 1960’s referred to Patriarca and his associates as "hoodlums."

There was no reference to the Mafia, the Mob or La Cosa Nostra until the late 1960 documents.

8th Grade

Patriarca Quit School

In October of 1920, Patriarca transferred from Federal Hill School to the Point Street School.

According to records, on March 25, 1922 directly following his 14th Birthday, Patriarca quit the 8th grade and never returned to school.

Last Sentence    

Most every FBI Memo in the 1950’s and 1960’s ended with the following sentence:

"In view of Patriarca’s past involvement in crimes of violence, he should be considered armed and dangerous."

As early as 1957, FBI documents show they were tracking outbound calls from Patriarca's home on Lancaster Street. His calls between October and December of 1957 were made to Milbury, Milford, Worcester, Watertown, North Attleboro, Boston and Sherborn, MA, according to Secretary to the Manager of New England Telephone and Telegraph Company in Providence.
