Veteran Donald Kenneth Perkins Jr, of Chepachet Dies at 69

Donald Kenneth Perkins Jr, 69, of Chepachet passed away Wed. April 27, 2022, at Fatima hospital after a long illness. He was the husband of the late Kathleen Mckenna Perkins, who passed away only 4 months ago.

Born in South Kingston, RI in April of 1953. He was the son of the late Donald K Perkins and Dorothy E (Dockery) Perkins. He is survived by a brother Mark Perkins of Florida. He is also survived by his in-laws Peggy and John Boyer with whom he lived for the past 2 years and survived by many nieces and nephews.

He was an avid Yankees and Giants fan. He was a keen golfer before his illness incapacitated him. He shared his wife's love of and caring for dogs.

He was a Veteran serving our country from August 1971 to August 1975 in the US Coast Guard. He was in retail management most of his career, retiring in 2015.

His service with Military Honors will be Tuesday, May 3, 2022, at the RI Veterans Memorial Cemetery in Exeter, RI at 10 AM. Please gather outside the Administration building at 9:45 AM.
