Thomas Vincent Ryan of Johnston Dies at 59
Ryan, Thomas V., 59 of Johnston, passed away peacefully surrounded by family, Thursday, March 23, 2023. This just so happened to be Tommy’s Dad’s Birthday. He was the loving husband of Maureen (Ferrante) Ryan for 38 years. Born in Providence and raised in Edgewood, he was a son and sixth child of the late John and Mary (Murphy) Ryan.

Tommy was a loving husband to Maureen and a loving father to his daughter, Nicole. He was also a cherished brother to Michael, Stephen, Maureen, Margy, John, Annmarie and Mark along with their families. He was also a devoted son-in-law to Antonetta and the late Vincent Ferrante and brother-in-law to Vinny and Debbie along with their families. Tommy was a friend to all and a pure gentleman.
He was uncle to 16 Nephews and nieces and 16 great nephews and nieces.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Wednesday at 10:00 AM in St. Paul Church, 30 Warwick Avenue, Cranston. Burial will be in St. Ann Cemetery, Cranston. Visiting hours Tuesday, 3- 7 PM in Woodlawn Funeral Home, 600 Pontiac Avenue, Cranston. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Shriner’s Children’s Hospital at donate.lovetotherescue.org.
