Rachael Abrams Dies at 95

Rachael Abrams, 95, passed away peacefully on May 10, 2022, in Seattle, Washington.  She was the beloved wife of the late Jordan Abrams.  Rachael was born in Providence on April 29, 1927, to the late Abraham and Bessie (Yellen) Allen. 

She lived in Providence and Cranston, as well as spending many winters in Singer Island, Florida before moving to Seattle in 2015.   Rachael attended URI. 

She was a lifetime member of Hadassah in addition to serving as Vice President of the Sisterhood of The Cranston Jewish Center.  She managed the Fine Jewelry Dept at Jordan Marsh for over 21 years.  Rachael was also a longtime member of Potowamut Golf Club where she excelled at the tee.  Her other hobbies consisted of Duplicate Bridge, Book Club, Dancing as well as singing and teaching Yiddish to all interested parties.

Devoted mother of Cheryl Levy and her husband Robert of Kent, Washington and the late Jeffrey Abrams.  Dear sister of the late Morris, David, and Morton Allen.  Loving Grandmother of Eric Levy, Jennifer Levy Katz and her husband Aaron and Great Grandmother of Greta Katz.  She was also a loving Aunt to many nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Funeral services will be held on Sunday, May 15, 2022, at 10:00 a.m. at Shalom Memorial Chapel, 1100 New London Ave, Cranston.
