Peter Raymond Fermino Dies at 78

Peter Raymond Fermino, age 78, passed away on December 19, 2021. 

Born in Acushnet, MA, on July 2, 1943, Peter was the son of Peter Fermino and Madeline Raymond. Peter was married to Jo Ann Souza of Pawtucket for 23 years.

He was preceded in death by his parents and his older brother Kenneth Fermino.  He is survived by his children: Elizabeth Botelho, Peter Fermino, Jr, and Raymond Fermino, as well as his grandchildren Kimberly Wiant, Corey Botelho, and Jordan Fermino; and great-grandchildren: Zoey Botelho, Emma Botelho, Aria Waint, Isabella Botelho, Leliana Botelho, AJ Wiant, and Elaina Botelho.  He will be missed by his siblings Julia David, Anna Tate, Paul Fermino, and Brenda Pires.

Peter was a retired RIPTA bus driver who was happy, loved life, and always on the go. He loved swimming in the pool with his grandson Jordan. He would drive 500 miles alone just to spend time with his grandkids Kim, Corey, and seven great-grandchildren. He loved arguing with his son Raymond over football and baseball. He was a huge Red Sox and Patriots fan and loved spending time in Newport, RI.

He will be deeply missed and forever in our hearts!
