Patricia A. Flori (McCarthy), of North Providence, Passes at 92

Born in Providence, she was the daughter of the late Douglas and Anna (Schiffman) McCarthy and the sister of the late Tim McCarthy.
A loving and devoted mother, grandmother, and adoring great grandmother, she is survived by her five children, Anita Whelan and her husband Michael Flek, Patricia Murray and her husband Jack, Louis Flori and his wife Laura Cummings, Dana Ellen Flori, and Paula Jeane Franco; six grandchildren, Jay, Mark, and James Murray, Matthew and Julia Cavanaugh and John Flori; and her three great-grandsons, Lucas, Landon, and Lincoln Murray and many nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews. And she also leaves behind her cat Prince that she adored.
Patricia (Pat) was an elementary school teacher by profession but held many different jobs most recently working for the Fatima Hospital Gift Shop before she retired.
Patricia was also an accomplished and talented artist who taught painting at the Central Falls Senior Center and the Cranston Senior Center and also at the N. Providence / Johnston Boys and Girls Club. One of Patricia’s most favorite pastimes besides painting was to go ballroom dancing with her special friend the late Edward Meehan.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend a Mass of Christian Burial on Monday, April 19, 2021, at 10 a.m. in St. Augustine Church, 639 Mount Pleasant Ave., Providence.
Visitation is respectfully omitted and burial in St. Ann Cemetery will be private.
