Odette Black Dies at 94

Odette Black passed away at South County Nursing and Rehab Center on January 21, 2022 at the age of 94. Odette was born on December 28, 1927, in Brive, France.  

She is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Robert and Catherine from St George, Utah, her granddaughter, Crystal Psotta from St George, Utah, her sister, Solange Pomarel from Perigueux France, and was preceded in death by her husband, Alexander.  

From her humble beginnings at an orphanage in France to her life in America, she always had a strong will and sense of determination that was seen by all as she faced challenges throughout her life.  

We are thankful for the time that God allowed us to spend with her.

Her Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Wednesday, February 9, 2022, at 11 am at St Francis de Sales in North Kingstown, Rhode Island.  Burial will follow in the Massachusetts National Cemetery, Bourne.   

Arrangements have been entrusted to The Cranston-Murphy Funeral Home of Wickford.
