Navy Veteran, Robert A. Raboin, of West Greenwich, Passes at 79

Born on April 29, 1942, in Providence, Bob was the doting son of the late Lionel J. and Theresa (Lafond) Raboin.
A proud and patriotic man, Bob was a veteran of the US Navy, serving during the Vietnam War Conflict. He achieved the rank of SN and he was assigned to the USS Ticonderoga. He served from 1962 until his honorable discharge in 1964.

He worked in sales for an electrical manufacturing company and he was also an entrepreneur, working in the rubbish removal business. Bob also worked as a Batchmaker with Hoechst Celanese Corp, until his well-deserved retirement.
In his spare time, Bob enjoyed attending car shows and learning about antique cars. He was an avid NASCAR fan and while his sons were in their younger years, he was active alongside them in Boy Scouts. Above all, Bob enjoyed spending time and making memories with his treasured family.
In addition to his wife, Bob is survived by his cherished sons: Michael Raboin, Daniel Raboin, and Matthew Raboin; his proud daughters: Jessica O’Connell and Jody Orlando; his 8 grandchildren and 7 great-grandchildren; his siblings: George Raboin and Annette Desrocher; and also many friends and extended family members.
In addition to his parents, Bob is predeceased by his sister: Jane Costigan.
Visiting hours will be on Friday, July 2, 2021, from 9:00 am to 10:30 am in the Iannotti Funeral Home at Maple Root, 2000 Nooseneck Hill Rd., (Rte.3) Coventry, with a Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00 am in Saints John and Paul Church, 341 South Main Street, Coventry.
Interment with US Navy Honors will be held at Rhode Island Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Exeter.
