Michelle Lee Lewis, of Providence, Passes at 49

Michelle Lee Lewis, 49, of Providence, passed away unexpectedly on October 9, 2021 at Miriam Hospital.

She was the youngest daughter of Sally Lewis and the late Frank Lewis Sr. Michelle is survived by her sons Denzell and DeAndre Lewis and granddaughter Isla Lewis of Providence; her sister Sonya Lewis of Atlanta, GA. Brothers Frank Lewis Jr. of Kathleen, GA. Michael and Anthony Lewis of Providence. Michelle is preceded in death by her sister, the late Sandra Brown, and her son, the late Dereck Lewis. Proudly Michelle was the aunt to many nieces and nephews and great-nieces and nephews.

She attended Hope High School and was a graduate of Gibbs College with an associate in science and medical office assisting. She was a Phlebotomist at Women and Infants Hospital of Rhode Island for six years. Michelle had a passion for the care of others that led her to the Cardiovascular medical field. A lifelong member of the Mount Hope Cowboys Youth Organization and continued to be an active member of the MHC family.

Michelle's visitation will be held Saturday, October 16, 2021, from 9:00 am to 10:30 am, followed by a Funeral Service at 10:30 am in the Mount Pleasant Funeral Home, 168 Academy Avenue, Providence RI.

Burial will follow in North Burial Ground, Providence.
