Margarida "Maggie" Mello Dies at 61

Margarida "Maggie" Mello, 61, passed at home surrounded by her loving family. She was the devoted wife of Joseph B. Mello for 41 years.

Born in St. Miguel, Azores, Margarida was a daughter of the late Manuel and Fernanda (Sousa) Melo.

Maggie made her career as a Cosmetologist for many years and was an active parishioner of St. Anthony Church.

Besides her husband, she is survived by a son, Scott Mello, daughter, Tammy Simas, son in law Raymond Simas, beloved granddaughter, Rockell Simas, three sisters, Maria “Connie” Pratas, Fernanda Merigan, Maria Iovino, brother, Joe Melo and many nieces and nephews.

Her funeral will be held Wednesday, November 24th at 8:30 am in the Keefe Funeral Home, Five Higginson Ave, Lincoln with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 am in St. Anthony Church, Lawn Ave, Pawtucket.

Burial will be in Mt. St. Mary Cemetery, Pawtucket.

Relatives and friends are invited.

Visitation will be held Tuesday, November 23rd from 5 pm until 8 pm.
