Joao Almeida, 48, passed on November 3rd.

Born in Sao Nicolau, Cape Verde, Island, he was the son of the late Mateus Almeida and Antonia Josefina Diniz of Providence.

Besides his mother, he is survived by siblings, Maria Neves, Antonio Almeida, Clara Almeida and Elizabeth Lima Adilton Nascimento and Leidimara Nascimento and many nieces and nephews. He was the brother of the late Josephina Diniz Assuncao.

Visitation will be held Saturday, November 6th, 8:30 am until 10:30 am with a service at 10:30 am in the Keefe Funeral Home, Five Higginson Ave, Lincoln.

Burial will follow in North Burial Ground, North Main St., Providence.

Relatives and friends are invited.
