Jo Ann Ward, of Riverside, Dies at 71

Jo Ann Ward, 71, of Riverside, RI passed away on Tuesday, February 8, 2022.

The daughter of the late Alfred and Helen (Yergeau) Medeiros and the wife of the late Jerry W. Ward, she was a lifelong resident of Warren before recently moving to Riverside.

Jo Ann worked as a CNA for many years while she and her late husband raised their family. She was very proud of her sons and loved spending time with her family, especially her beloved grandchildren. She enjoyed crocheting and would make it to Jai-Alai any chance she got. Once she became unable to attend in person, she would often play games on her tablet.

Jo Ann is survived by her sons Jerry Ward and his wife Erin of Fairfax, VA and Justin Ward and his wife Nicole of Riverside, RI; her brother, Richard Medeiros and his wife Belle of Warren, RI; her sister, Laurie Medeiros of Lancaster, MA and her two grandchildren, Khloe Lee Ward and Talon Walker Ward. She was the sister of the late Kenneth Medeiros and Alfred Medeiros Jr.

Arrangements are with Family's Choice Cremation, 8 Schoolhouse Rd. Warren, RI.

Family and friends are invited to a graveside service on Friday, February 18, 2022 at 10 AM at South Burial Ground, 39 Sowamsett St. Warren, RI.
